The Vibrant Body Vibrant Voice 5 Day Clean Eating Challenge is a FREE fitness and nutrition challenge for singers who are able to commit just 5 days to learning about and practicing the principals of clean eating plus a daily fitness component. The challenge group takes place virtually in a private Facebook group hosted by Elizabeth Rotoff, voice teacher, personal trainer, and nutrition coach.
Is the Clean Eating Challenge for me?
Trying to juggle work/school, lessons, rehearsals, family life and traveling to gigs can make it very difficult to maintain healthy eating habits. Add to that the ever looming threat of illness getting in the way, it is essential for singers to maintain a healthy diet. Sometimes we just need to go back to basics to learn or to be reminded of how important good nutrition is for our voices, health and fitness.
What is Clean Eating?
Clean eating is the practice of preparing and consuming food as close to it's original state as possible, also known as whole foods. Some minimal processing is allowed, such as using whole grain flour, breads made from these without additives and preservatives, whole grain pasta, tomato sauce or pasta sauce with no preservatives and healthy oils.
Clean eating avoids processed food as much as possible. Sugar, white flour, processed meats, any packaged food that contains these or has dyes, preservatives or other chemicals are to be considered off limits. The processing involved with food preparation at home is not included in the definition of processed foods.
